I have travel insurance for a package holiday. The ‘plane, provided by the tour operator, had a mechanical breakdown that resulted in over 24 hours delay.
I have made a claim on the travel insurance policy for the delay. Can I also claim separately against the tour operator for losing part of the holiday and for the consequential stress and inconvenience?

Depends if the tour operator was responsible for the plane breaking down
I would have thought it unlikely. The airline might be at fault but not the tour operator.
